Marty Payne

Founder

Marty is a Vietnam War Veteran and graduated from Elon College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. He started A.M. Payne & Associates, Inc. in the 1970’s and has worked every job in the company. His specialty is client communications.

Jon Harris

Chief Operating Officer, Enrolled Agent

Jon graduated from Elon College where he was an accounting major and received a Bachelors of Science degree in 1990. He joined the company in 1991.

Susan Hunt

Chief Financial Officer, Enrolled Agent

Susan is the manager of our accounting division with over 40 years of accounting experience. She works directly with our existing clients and new clients to assist them with their accounting and tax needs. Susan joined the company in 1979.

Tim Reid

Tax Specialist, Enrolled Agent

Tim graduated from UNC-Greensboro with an Accounting degree in 1990. He is our tax expert and enjoys researching tax law. He looks forward to helping our clients resolve any tax-related issues they may have. Tim joined the company in 1991.

Phil Fitzgerald

Tax Specialist RTRP

Phil was the Service Manager for North State Communications with over 30 years of service. Phil joined the company in 2001.

Jann Gerock

Staff Accountant

Jann graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She has over 30 years of experience including both corporate and public accounting. Jann joined our firm in 2016.
